Selling Old AC Units: What Determines Your Quote
An old AC is rarely worth zero. Even a non-working unit holds copper, aluminium and steel that we can recover. Here is how our second hand AC buyers and AC scrap buyers price your unit.
Working vs non-working
If the unit still cools and the compressor turns on, it is sold as a working second-hand AC. The brand, tonnage, age, and remote/installation accessories all factor in. Anything between 0–5 years old and serviced regularly fetches the best resale rate.
If it does not cool, we price for scrap recovery — the outdoor unit copper coil is the biggest single line item.
Copper coil and compressor
The outdoor condenser holds the majority of the copper. A clean copper coil that has not been damaged during removal can add several hundred rupees compared to a coil that has been hacked apart. Our team handles removal so you get full value.
Compressor scrap is a separate sub-grade because the compressor body contains a sealed copper winding.
Type matters: split, window, cassette, duct
Window AC units are the simplest — one box, one quote. Split AC has separate indoor and outdoor units and is the most common today. Cassette AC, duct AC and central AC are heavier commercial units and need professional dismantling, which we include free.
Selling Used Generators: Diesel, Silent & Industrial
Generators hold their value better than most second-hand equipment because the engine and alternator are independently resaleable. Second hand generator buyers and second hand diesel generator buyers across Hyderabad watch three numbers: kVA, hours run, and condition of the alternator.
kVA rating
Anything from a 5 kVA home backup to a 1000+ kVA industrial set is in our buying range. Larger industrial sets command better per-kVA prices because the engine and alternator have a strong used market.

Runtime and service history
Hours run is the single most useful number you can give us before pickup. Service records (oil change log, AMC) raise the offer. A 25 kVA set with 300 hours and a clean log can fetch 3–4× a similar unit with 4000+ hours and no records.
Even fully seized engines are worth scrap weight — the alternator, copper windings and engine block all recover separately.
Dismantling and transport
For larger sets bolted to a foundation, we send a dismantling crew with a crane and flatbed. There is no charge for removal, transport or making good the foundation.
