Battery scrap is one of the most tightly regulated and highest-value scrap categories. Old lead-acid cells from UPS systems and home inverters hold significant recoverable lead, but they need to be handled and transported correctly. Here is how our battery dealers and battery scrap dealers work.
What we buy
Inverter batteries (tubular and flat plate), UPS batteries (SMF/VRLA), automotive batteries, telecom backup cells, and branded packs — including battery scrap dealers-Luminous, Exide, Amaron and Su-Kam stock. Working or fully discharged, the lead value is intact either way.
We do not buy lithium-ion cells through this channel.
Pricing
Lead-acid is priced per kilo against the day's lead rate. SMF batteries are priced separately because of their lower lead content and integrated case.
We also work with bulk sellers as UPS battery dealers — data centres, telecom sites and large offices clearing pallets of backup cells.
Handling and safety
Our team brings acid-resistant trays and proper PPE. We do not pour or decant acid on site. The cells leave sealed and are transported to a licensed recycler. You get a signed pickup receipt for compliance records.
